JHPIEGO developed this set of flash cards to develop healthcare providers test for cervical pre-cancer and cancer using visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA). Therefore, they can be used as a training tool for new healthcare workers in providing cervical cancer testing, as well as a refresher training to evaluate existing providers’ knowledge. The set of 115 flashcards aims to assist users in recognising the difference between a normal and abnormal cervix, as a way for quality assurance officers in testing providers’ knowledge of VIA-based testing and to simulate the decision-making process for providers.
